Context

Useful creativity, a cornerstone of our innovations.

One of the highlights of this conference was the unique combination of human creativity and AI technology, illustrated by floral and plant decorations inspired by art generated by artificial intelligence. This LULU concept was designed to represent the living, ever-evolving ecosystem of AI in Canada.

THE EXPERIENCE

The floral and plant decorations, blending innovative technology and artistic expression, enhanced the immersive experience offered to the participants. Here are the key highlights of this creation:

  • Artistic Inspiration:

Our Artistic Director Mirella Di Blasio drew inspiration from AI-generated floral and plant landscapes, particularly from artists Tinker Taylor and Joshua Vermillon, known for their unique visions of futuristic landscapes.

  • Hybrid Creation:

Futuristic floral landscape designs were generated by generative artificial intelligence.

The team of decorators and graphic designers then reworked these visuals to create a graphic charter, a visual signature, and 3D decorations, bringing impressive elements to life such as:

Two large chandeliers made of vegetation – focal points of the space

Giant 8-foot-tall plants

  • Technological Innovation:

Some components of the chandeliers and giant plants were 3D printed using Canada’s largest 3D printer. Once again, it was the human touch that enhanced the shapes with various materials (fur, paint, lighting, etc.).

This feat illustrates the harmony between human creativity and technological power.

CHALLENGES

The creation of this exceptional decoration involved several major challenges:

Innovative Conceptualization: Merging AI-generated visuals with human craftsmanship to create a visual piece that reflects the AI ecosystem in Canada.

Interdisciplinary Coordination: Working closely with graphic designers, motion graphics designers, and decorators to ensure a faithful execution of the initial designs.

Strong Symbolism: Weaving a story through the various aspects of the event that organically represent the artificial intelligence ecosystem:

Results

The floral and plant concept of the event served as a visual thread, making a lasting impression thanks to its unique blend of art and technology.

The final result highlighted the ambition to celebrate innovation in a rapidly expanding ecosystem, while offering a memorable experience for participants. This creative approach perfectly illustrates the potential of artificial intelligence when combined with human talent and touch.
