THE 5 GREEN FLAGS OF A SUCCESSFUL EVENT

When the hardest choice of the big day comes down to a glass of red or white wine, it’s because these five green flags were ticked well before the first toast.

Everyone has their moment in the spotlight.

At Lulu, we know that a successful gala lies in a subtle balance of giving everyone their moment of glory, without turning the evening into a six-episode documentary series.

On the occasion of the gala , Talented women from the AFFQ (Quebec Association of Women in Finance), each exceptional woman benefited from her moment in the spotlight, in a rhythmic and perfectly controlled sequence of events.

Our golden rule? If guests are looking at the stage more often than their watches, you’re on the right track.

Attending a convention does NOT need to be boring.

We’ve all been to those kinds of conferences where booths follow one after another without really standing out. The result: Participants are in and out like at a car oder burger joint!

At Lulu, the congress organization translates into a diverse and creative scenography.

The objective we were given for the first edition of All In, Canada’s largest AI conference, was: “I don’t want this conference to look like it’s taking place in the ‘Convention Centre!’”

We rose to the challenge brilliantly by transforming the rooms into experiential playgrounds with unconventional kiosks and stages, eclectic and Instagrammable spaces.

If the most striking impression of your institutional event is that it feels like “déjà vu,” it might be time to rethink the experience. Lulu can assure you of that!

Guests leave with an experience, not a goodie bag

When we think about a brand activation, we often imagine a few screens, a couple of banners and some goodies that will end up forgotten in a drawer before the end of the week.

At Lulu, we see things differently: an immersive brand activation  is experienced with the five senses.

For IVADO Labs, a research center specializing in artificial intelligence, we transformed AI into a tangible experience through a “box” with an interactive vibrating floor, noise-canceling headphones, immersive videos at 180 degrees, and smells associated with each industry where AI was presented as a formidable optimization tool!

The result? Visitors had a truly memorable experience not a corporate gift easily forgotten. FYI,  we were finalists at the Canadian Event Awards 2025 (event competition) for this project.

And between us, what’s more memorable: saying that we experienced a sensory box or that we picked up another goodie bag?

The world of the event begins long before the speech.

Imagine: a stage, a black screen, four bottles of water on the tables. Ten minutes later, despite all the efforts of the conference facilitator, your mind has already left the room.

At Lulu, we believe a conference begins long before the first speaker speaks. That’s why our approach to event project management is rooted in a journey from visual identity to space planning, and includes the organization’s culture. Each element contributes to telling a story and immersing participants in the client’s world.

We remember a message better when we experience it – and incidentally, when the scene looks like something other than a Teams meetin

The art of working with a space.

Would you prefer 300 meters of black curtain or a little imagination?

At Lulu we have a simple rule: if the architecture of a space is interesting, we might as well take advantage of it.

For the product launch from Bell Media – an event for which we were finalists Canadian Event Awards 2025, we designed and curated a true art exhibition where the rooms themselves became the brand’s primary ambassador. The decor complemented the architecture of the rooms and the brands were speaking naturally in space.

Between us, we’ve never heard a guest say, “Wow, what a magnificent black curtain!”
